Little Steps Early Learning Center in Lafayette, IN provides an environment for the children in our community to thrive. Our team members are also first aid certified and prepared to address any accidents that may occur during their time in our care. First aid & CPR certification is kept current with all necessary renewals made on time with professional certification programs. Through years of experience, our staff at Little Steps Early Learning Center is able to reach each child and provide enriching experiences they can take with them throughout their lives.

I can’t say enough great things about this daycare! I have three children, with my oldest being 21, so I have experienced many different local daycares. Little Steps is hands down one of the best local daycares. I’ve referred many friends that have waited on a waitlist just to get in. The staff is more like family. The staff has remained the same for the last 5 years. The environment is fun, safe, and structured. Concerns are taken seriously and the staff work very diligently with families to resolve issues. Bullying is strictly prohibited. They are active in the community with food drives and donations during the holidays. The owner is very humble and understanding, gives extra time to pay or will allow leniency if you’re having financial hardship. All around great place!! Highly recommend!!

FAQ

What qualifications do the teachers have?

Lead teachers have a CDA, associate’s, and/or bachelor’s degree. Assistant teachers have experience in childcare and a plan to work toward a certification.

Do you have a weekly learning plan?

We follow weekly lesson plans which are created by the teachers.

Are food and drink provided?

We provide an early morning snack, breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack.

What are the child to teacher ratios?

Infant: 4:1

Toddler: 5:1

3 years: 10:1

4 years: 12:1

5 years: 15:1

School age: 20:1

What are your sick, vacation, and absent policies?

All of our policies can be found in our parent handbook.
